Offering an exclusive aerial journey through the heart of South Australia’s renowned wine region,Dive deep into the past and explore the unique history of Barossa winemaking, while enjoying the very best sights and surroundings from the skies. Your journey starts off from our heli-pad in the Hoffnungsthal Valley, before flying past the township of Lyndoch tracking right, along the western ridge of the Barossa Valley and continuing towards historic Seppeltsfield Winery for some stunning views of the vineyards and palm tree studded roads that surround the winery. Soar above the vineyards and experience the breathtaking beauty of the Barossa Valley from a unique aerial perspective.

Before you descend into Artisans of Barossa on the Northern side of Tanunda, you will catch a glimpse of Maggie Beer’s farm and the famous Penfolds Winery. You’ll then land within 20 metres of the entrance of Artisans of Barossa where you will indulge in a ‘Rarities’ experience, trying 6 wines from the full tasting selection, showcasing the influence of regions and winemakers within the Barossa.

Artisans of Barossa is a collaboration of eight small winemakers, brought together by a shared commitment to protect and promote the art of small-batch Barossa winemaking, and has over 100 Barossa wines available! Once you have found a favourite wine or two, wander over to Artisans of Barossa’s restaurant, Essen, or their cafe/providor, Delikatessen. At Essen you will enjoy a four-course lunch of your choice, complemented by stunning views and the fines Barossa wines, reflecting the valleys food excellence. If you are wanting to dine on more of the casual side, Delikatessen is your place to go! But your tour isn’t over yet.

Once onboard the helicopter, we will continue the flight along the outskirts of Tanunda heading south towards Jacob’s Creek Winery,which is home to some of the largest wine tanks in Australia. Witness the grandeur of the Barossa Valley. as you hop from location to location. From there you will travel to the most southern end of the Barossa, past the town of Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall, which holds back the Barossa Reservoir, before returning to the helipad in the Hoffnungsthal Valley. This is a must-experience for enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

  • Transfers to/from the Barossa Helicopters Helipad.

  • Extra take home wine (this can be shipped direct to your home from the winery).

 

PICK UP & DROP OFF:

If you don’t want to drive, we recommend Barossa & Light Cab Service or we can pick up from the following accommodation, but you must already have a booking at the accommodation: The Louise, Tom Foolery Bed and Breakfast, Hutton Vale, Le Mas, Kingsford The Barossa, 1837 Barossa. On check out select to be picked up and dropped off.
